Picture Update

I haven't been in much of a blogging mood lately so here are some random pictures from the last
three weeks!
I celebrated my 33rd birthday with a trip to Northwest Trek with the kids...
...and a Keylime Cheesecake!
We moved Tatum to her big girl bed which she is thrilled with!
I've had this bedroom set sitting at my parent's house for about ten years ... It's from my great-grandparent's farm house in Iowa. It's pretty cool to see my little girl sleeping in the bed now!
Going for a "hike" with her new backpack from Uncle Sean and the binoculars that we made at Northwest Trek!
One of their favorite things to do these days

Asher enjoying a bowl of strawberries....just days before we discovered that he is allergic to them....oops!

Happy Birthday Keven!

“What does love look like? It has the hands to help others. It has the feet to hasten to the poor and needy. It has eyes to see misery and want. It has the ears to hear the sighs and sorrows of men. That is what love looks like.”
St. Augustine

Thank you for being the hands that hold this family together. Thank you for leading us, for teaching us and for loving us. We are blessed beyond measure by you.

Birthday wrap-up

It's been two weeks since Asher's birthday but I wanted to add a few more pictures of his celebrations!
Grandma & Papa had a little party for Asher at their house on his birthday....
The Imaginext T-rex he's been wanting for a long time....
I was so excited to give it to him!
Next came a party with all of our family.....
Keven hard at work making Asher's cake.
The final result!

Nail

Keven stepped on a nail yesterday...through his boot....into his foot. Tetanus shot and all.

This morning he was showing Asher the hole in this foot from the nail and Asher said,

"Hey, that's just like God." "He had a nail in his foot too, when he was on the cross".

To which Keven said, "That's right...why was God on the cross?"

Asher's answer: "Because He loves us"

So, today....a reminder from our 4 year old son....

Jesus loves you and he hung on a cross with nails through his feet and hands and died for you. Oh, he wants you to know...
