In thinking about Father's Day, I wanted to start here....celebrating our heavenly Father. Everything else, the many incredible blessings I have been given with my own father and now my children's father, are because of Him.
He will call out to me, 'You are my Father, my God, the Rock my Savior. Psalm 89:26
Yet, O LORD, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand. Isaiah 64:8
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! 1 John 3:1
I have an incredible earthly father as well, now known as Papa! He has filled my life with love, encouragement, peace, strength, comfort, adventure, fun and now the joy of watching him be a grandfather. I have always been able to find comfort in his presence....such an amazing earthy example of what it means to run to the Father for peace, comfort and rest. I am still, so blessed by him.
One of my greatest privileges for the past 4 years has been watching my amazing husband become a father. It makes my heart sing to watch the way my kids love their father and how he loves them back. He brings the presence of the Lord into his kids' lives so beautifully through his wisdom and love of worship. It is such a blessing to have him leading our family!
Thank you Keven for being such an amazing daddy to Asher & Tatum.

That was an awesome tribute to 2 very amazing men. You are truly blessed to have both of them in your life.
Hi Keven and Alicia,
I was thinking of you all today. It rained and for some reason I think of Alicia when it rains. I believe because Alicia once told me that she preferred the rain to all the constant sun.
Anyhow -- I got caught up on your blog. I love seeing the pictures. You are all so lovely.

I keep returning to your blog....re-reading the wonderful entry and thinking how lucky you all are. Wonderful tribute to Vern and Keven.
